Bijni College is a leading higher educational institution in Chirang district of Bodoland Territorial Region in Assam. It was established on 21st July 1969. The institution has been helping the young learners of the surrounding areas of the locality as well as other areas also. Most of the students come from the rural areas to the institution and they have been getting opportunity to pursue higher educational degrees with modern technological skills on the tune of National Educational Policy of 2020. The college celebrated its Golden Jubilee and completed successfully three cycles of NAAC assessment. It takes a rightful pride in serving highly diversified population of the greatest Bijni area in particular. The society of the area consists of different social groups in respect of ethnic, cast, religion, community, language, etc. All the stake-holders are continuously making effort to upgrade the institution to a higher level with balanced development policy. It welcomes and adopts constructive changes coming its way to make more inclusive and holistic institution and takes steps to remove the barriers faced by the stakeholders. The institution provides proper guidance to the students with the help of faculty as mentors in the field of knowledge gathering and skill enhancement. I am an alumnus of Bijni College and I have been serving as teaching faculty in the department of Economics in this institution since 1997. I will be always grateful to the institution. Presently, as a Vice-Principal cum Academic In-charge, I wish all-round development of the college.
