ABOUT US
The Bijni College Bodo Literary Society (BCBLS) at Bijni College established in 1992 is an active academic and cultural forum designed to foster Bodo language, literature, and indigenous culture. It provides students with a vital platform to showcase their creative talents and engage with their linguistic heritage.
Core Activities & Highlights
Annual Magazine:
The BCBLS regularly publishes its annual magazine, Alari, which features essays, poems, and stories crafted by faculty, research scholar and students.
Awards:
1. Sanjarang Derhasat Bantha: The BCBLS established the Sanjarang Derhasat Bantha to recognize and honor exceptional literary and cultural
achievements by the participants from different colleges and universities of Assam in inter-college and inter university literary and cultural competitions
organised by BCBLS.
2. Birendra Giri Basumatary Best Discipline Award: The BCBLS established the Birendra Giri Basumatary Best Discipline Award to recognize and honor for
disciplinary participation in Inter-University & Inter-College Literary & Cultural events in the celebration of death anniversary of Sanjarang Laskheswar
Brahma.

Cultural Programs: The BCBLS collaborates with the Department of Bodo to host cultural demonstrations and events, such as showcasing traditional Bodo culinary
habits during Bwisagu and other cultural festivals.
Integration: The society operates alongside Academic Departments, the Bijni College Students’ Union and the Indigenous Cultural Forum of Bijni College.
