Celebration of Student’s day at Bijni College on 31st March,2021
Bijni College, Bijni solemnly observed “Student’s Day” HERE ON TODAY the 31st March,2021 in the auditorium of the college in connection with the Birth Anniversary of Upendra Nath Brahma responding to the letter No.DE/BTC/Misc-1/2018/92 dated 30/03/2021 issued by the Director of Education, BTC, Kokrajhar. The programme commenced with the lightening of earthen lamp by Dr. Birhash Giri Basumatary, the principal of the college followed by an inaugural as well as informative speech on Upendra Nath Brahma. After that Mr. Kandarpa Pathak, the Vice-principal of the college paid his respect and gratitude to Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma by garlanding the photo of Upendra Nath Brahma. With that, a rich floral tribute followed by the faculty member of the various departments of the college and the non-teaching staff of the college including the students of all the departments. Each and every one paid his/her homage to the great personality. As part of the programme, Dr. Dwimalu Basumatary, one of the youngest faculty members gave an extensive and inspirational speech on the lifespan of Upendra Nath Brahma focusing on his efforts that launched united movement for the Bodo community. Dr. Dwimalu Basumatary also held a quiz competition among the students based on his valuable and majestic speech on Upendra Nath Brahma. The students participated enthusiastically and gave almost all the answers right and took prizes from the Principal and the Vice-principal of the college. The programme came to an end with a ‘Vote of Thanks’ by Mr. Prasanta Kumar Barman, one of the faculty members of the department of Assamese, Bijni College, Bijni.
